Head of Commercial Marketing

Qatar Airways is seeking to hire a Head of Commercial Marketing. This is an exciting time to join the marketing team where you will be a driving force for new business opportunities and lead the development of existing strategic relationships in the B2B and B2C travel segments. This is an opportunity to create impact and increase revenue generation through key strategic relations and commercial partnership marketing.

• You will define and develop effective commercial marketing strategies and deployment plans to generate and drive demand into the Business. This includes network commercial marketing campaigns (online/offline), commercial products, commercial partnerships (with tourism boards, airports, airlines) and projects. This role will also act as a channel shift champion for the network in support of the commercial objectives and targets.

• Develop and forge key strategic relationships with key industry partners where you continue to position QR as the leading airline of choice for relevant B2B & B2C travel segments.

• Support regional marketing teams to ensure alignment with corporate marketing strategies as well as deployment of corporate marketing tools to enable sales and marketing teams to effectively grow revenue.

• Enable regional offices to promote campaigns ensuring local investment matches company goals and established objectives.

• Establish strong partnership and collaboration with the regions to ensure a joined-up approach on delivery of plans, targets and scalable marketing campaigns to penetrate and expand opportunities in key markets.

• Effectively communicate insights, analysis, opportunities, and recommendations with partners to improve our mutual businesses.

Qualifications

To be successful you will be a leader with a passion for delivering marketing excellence. Furthermore you will have:

• Minimum 10 years of job-related experience in commercial marketing in a multi-national or corporate environment

• Strong commercial awareness and ability to think strategically

• Be extremely well-organized with superior time management skills

• Ability to lead multiple projects and produce high-quality results under tight deadlines in a team environment.

• Experience with operating in a matrix organization

• Ability to lead, motivate and inspire diverse teams using leadership skills that encourage team cooperation, promote enthusiasm and motivate strategic thinking

• Bachelor’s Degree or Equivalent ideally within Marketing or another related field
