Tasks
The main purpose of the Senior Category Manager is the development and execution of international sourcing strategies in the direct material category of electronic and machinery parts (semiconductors).
You will
- act as a business partners to key stakeholders in business (Business Units, Engineering, etc.) and Operations (Product Line Supply Chain Management, Production, Quality, etc.)
- sustain the category management approach and provide the supply capability and capacity required to the support the companys’ future business needs and protection of brand value
- establish of aligned sourcing processes, sustainable supplier assessments, develop of a performing and regulatory compliant supplier footprint, contribute to the enhancement of the supply base performance on Quality, Cost, Delivery
- grow and develop a qualified and performing Supply Base focusing on the companies strategic business plans and organize a sustainable sourcing and spend distribution.
Requirements
We expect
- 5+ years in-depth strategic and operational sourcing experience in the industrial sector with a solid working knowledge of global supply base management as well as supplier development and quality
- Demonstrated international work experience on category specific production techniques and processes
- International sourcing experience in Romania, Europe and/or Asia
- Experience in the field of mechanical engineering, electronic, machine building and/or semiconductors
- Strong analytical skills (risk based) and focus on the essential facts
- Sensible and emphatic communication skills with internal and external stakeholders
- Able to get results through others, able to multi-task, sense of priority, able to handle stress levels and adapt to a variety of challenges
- Experience in applying Q-methods (APQP, FMEA, MSA, PPAP, SPC, etc.)
- solid language skills in English
