You will be responsible for assessing and underwriting complex bridging applications from brokers and intermediaries to minimise risk to the company whilst adhering to regulations and standards, duties will include:
- Assess and underwrite bridging loan applications in line with prevailing lending policy and mandate level
- Managing own pipeline of cases
- Assess and resolve risk or any issues of applications
- Assess DIPs, credit reports and all documentation to ensure applications are verified
- Review valuation reports
- Approve and reject applications in line with policy and mandate
- Recommend loans to the Underwriting Manager or Credit Team where they fall outside of the lending mandate held
- Produce high quality and articulate credit summaries, presenting a clear rationale for proceeding with the loan
- Communicating with all parties, building professional relationships with them
