The position reports to the Deputy Head of International Private Bank (IPB) United Kingdom Compliance who reports into the Head of IPB United Kingdom Compliance. The Wealth Management (WM) United Kingdom Compliance team covers all Wealth Management (WM) United Kingdom business units: Coverage, Wealth Discretionary (WD) and Chief Investment Office (CIO), Lending, Global Product Solutions (GPS) and One Bank Solutions (OBS). In this role, you will be involved in all aspects of Compliance work for Deutsche Bank WM United Kingdom.

Your key responsibilities:

• Representing Compliance to the business and providing appropriate advice about regulations and Compliance related matters across all WM United Kingdom business units
• Helping provide impact analysis and assist in providing practical solutions in respect of requirements arising from the implementation of Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) Regulations, European Union Directives and other regulatory developments, in respect of new and existing businesses
• Ensuring WM United Kingdom Compliance policies and procedures are reviewed and updated on a timely basis, incorporating regulatory changes
• Liaising closely the WM Compliance Testing (CT) team and provide oversight on the testing efforts within WM United Kingdom, working with onshore and near-shore Compliance and Operations colleagues
• Advising Compliance and business colleagues based overseas on cross border activities, as well as advise United Kingdom based business colleagues on appropriate cross border rules if travelling overseas

Your skills and experience:

• Industry knowledge: A broad understanding of the wealth management industry, including key service offerings (wealth planning, investment advice, investment management, banking, and lending)
• Product Knowledge: Wealth management product knowledge including regulated and unregulated collective investment schemes, equities, fixed income, derivatives and structured products
• Compliance Knowledge: Comprehensive knowledge of European and United Kingdom Regulations, including FCA rules regarding retail distribution review, suitability, treating customers fairly. A deep understanding of the FCA’s conduct of business rules with respect to both investment advice and discretionary investment management
• Analytical skills
