Finance Assistant Sage Excel – work from home – Bristol, Somerset – £25,000

Our client (looking for a Finance Assistant full time with Working from home) are a Bristol based company and market leaders in providing regulatory support for firms across the UK in the retail automotive and travel sectors.

Job Purpose

The Finance Assistant position is full time (37.5 hours per week), the successful candidate will report into the Financial Controller and will work to ensure that the Finance department is able to meet its deadlines. The position may require the employee to work from either the Bristol office or from home but mainly you will work from home .

What do you need to succeed?

  • At least 3 years of experience within an account’s role.
  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office & Excel.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team.
  • Analytical skills.
  • Excellent communication skills.

Desirable Skills and Experience(nice to haves)

  • Experience using Xero.
  • Experience using Sage50.
  • AAT qualified or studying toward AAT qualification.
  • Experience in a regulated environment.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Preliminary financial verification checks for new applicants in line with FCA guidelines.
  • Reconciliation of bordereau’s and insurance income transactions on a monthly basis.
  • Monitoring daily communications and assisting with sales ledger queries.
  • Assisting with the preparation of sales invoicing for a variety of industry sectors.
  • Assisting with credit control and chasing debt.
  • Monthly departmental reporting to include contract values, new income and lost income.

Assist with monthly processing of expenses for both internal and external members of staff on a monthly basis.
