Housing Officer – Places for People

your role

As a Housing Officer you will have responsibility for the day-to-day management of tenancies within your area, including estate management, dealing with anti-social behaviour, and advising on tenancy issues. You will look cover around 600 properties and have a strong focus on place management, working closely with our customers assisting them to sustain their tenancies.


This is a Fixed Term contract expected to last until the end of July 2022 and can be carried out as a Secondment as long as
your have approval from your current line manager.


The role will be responsible for travelling to our tenancies in West of Edinburgh, Stirling, Falkirk, East Dunbartonshire and other surrounding areas. This is an Agile role, predominantly working from home when not visiting sites, with occasional visits to the Edinburgh office.

More about you

The ideal candidate for this role will demonstrate excellent customer service and communication skills, and will have a commitment to customer involvement, consultation and participation, together with excellent administrative and organisational skills. Experience in housing management is desirable, but not essential.

You will work as part of a team and have a “can do” approach when responding to customers, colleagues and external partners. You will have the ability to be empathetic with our customers and their situations when necessary and will take a pro-active approach to problem solving.

A full driving licence and access to a car is essential.
