Investment Director (Private Equity)

Investment Director opportunity within a successful mid-market private equity investor offering responsibility for leading new investments, acquisitions, buy & build strategy and value creation across a range of key sectors. THE COMPANY A Mid-market Private Equity Investment firm with a strong investment track record across TMT, IT / Software, Consumer and Industrial sectors. Investing typically between 10m – 40m into entrepreneurial SME businesses seeking expansion through ambitious buy & build growth strategies, the team has backed numerous businesses and created significant value and wealth on exit many times. THE OPPORTUNITY Joining the firm’s London Office as an Investment Director you will be instrumental in delivering and achieving the fund strategy, driving high-priority investments into specialist sectors and leading follow-on acquisitions and ongoing buy & build / growth strategy. This is a key position within the team and offers the chance to work closely with entrepreneurs and directly impact the growth of their businesses through responsible investment and acquisition. As an Investment Director your responsibilities will entail: Leading and executing high-priority investments and directly supporting Investment Committee processes Supporting Partners in the successful execution of the fund investment strategy Leading acquisition strategy for portfolio businesses, managing a small investment team Maintaining effective working relationships with advisors, introducers and management teams You will be rewarded with: A highly competitive salary and benefits package Significant Annual bonus earnings Participation in funds carry scheme and co-investment opportunity Progression to Partner THE PERSON You will be a Corporate Finance or Investment professional able to demonstrate the following: Background within Private Equity, at least 3 – 5 years Significant experience in leading deals and investments Possibly ACA Qualified or holding CFA Qualification A strong desire to progress your Private Equity career to Partner level within an innovative fund and to be instrumental in the growth and success of entrepreneurial businesses operating within exciting, high-growth sectors Please contact Alastair McLean at Lucas McLean Recruitment to discuss this opportunity.
