JOB SUMMARY

To work enthusiastically as a member of a team that promotes and Children’s development.

With support participate in play which supports and guides children’s all round learning and development.

With support participate in the planning and organise of play session

With support from the manager, Early Years Support Officer participate as part of the team to ensure team plan supports and guides children’s all round learning and development.

Make observations and support in the input of information that ensures records of children and play activities are factual and up to date.

With support make assessments to ensure children’s learning and development needs are met.

Work in partnership with the team to encourage parents / carers to become involved in suggesting play activities

With guidance provide a safe and stimulating environment ensuring adequate precautions are taken to safeguard children and minimise risks.

Work within nursery policies and procedures.

Assist in the safe collection of children at the end of the day session by an authorised adult

In conjunction with the manager, ensure provision is available for children with Additional Support Needs.

Set up and clear away equipment

Role is 25 hours per week

SKILLS NEEDED

No previous experience needed but a willingness to learn.
