Have you ever wondered how YOU can make a difference contributing to saving lives every day?
We at the East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust Operations Support are a dedicated and vital support network which assists our front-line vehicle fleet to provide around the clock emergency care to the people living in the East of England region 365 days a year.
We are a vital link in ambulance provision to the general public and we are looking for the right people to join us in the next phase of a very exciting journey.
The East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust has embarked on a transformation plan to ensure we can meet the challenges of the future by taking delivery of purpose-built ambulances, and we have also commissioned the building and upgrading of 17 Hubs across East Anglia.
Rated outstanding for caring by the Care Quality Commission (CQC), The East of England Ambulance Service NHS Trust covers six counties – Bedfordshire, Cambridgeshire, Essex, Hertfordshire, Norfolk, and Suffolk. We cover 7,500 square miles and serve a population in excess of 5.8 million people. With such a diverse geographical area, we cover busy cities, rural locations, and seaside resorts and our services are tailored to meet the needs of each community’s differing medical and environmental needs.
Last year as an NHS Trust we received more than 1 million emergency calls from the communities we support so it’s essential that we maintain the highest standards for both the maintenance of our vehicle fleet, and the life saving equipment inside.
In order to continue achieving these standards we are now looking to increase our Operations Support network and we are beginning the immediate recruitment of almost 100 new colleagues, and one of these could be you.
What do we offer? In addition to working within a fantastic team environment, we provide a comprehensive employment package – with opportunities for career progression, a final salary pension with contributions up to 21%, professional support, and benefits for you and your family.
We will also provide comprehensive training for the new roles, which will include both the new and the existing vehicle fleet. Training in new electronic equipment, the tools to carry out the job and a Trust uniform.
