Maths and English Tutors

Maths and English tutors required to provide 1:1 session with Y11 Children in Care in Bristol. Team Educate are working alongside the local authority to provide 1:1 tutoring sessions for their Year 11 GCSE Students in Maths and English.We are looking for a number of Maths and English tutors to work with 30 students on a weekly basis. The sessions are due to start in November 2021 and will be weekly sessions (term time only) until June 2022, until the Year 11 students sit their GCSE’s. Each pupil has been allocated 1 hour each for Maths and English but this could increase subject to the need of the child. A number of children will have a EHCP plan and each tutor will be able to communicate with the pupils teacher and Designated Teacher in order to deliver the sessions effectively. The sessions can be done virtually via Teams, Zoom, Google Classroom or Bramble. The allocated times for the sessions to take place would be between 3:00 – 6:00pm with most of sessions being done 3:30pm – 4.30pm and 4:30pm to 4.30 – 5:30pm. Back to back sessions can be offered so that each tutor, can work with 2 pupils each evening. Depending on the tutors availability, we could offer each tutor 2 pupils each evening. We require the tutors to have Qualified Teacher Status (QTS) or degree equivalent.and specialists in Maths and Englsih. Each tutor will have the option to work with 1 or multiple children providing each child with 1 hour tuition per week. About the role: After school tuition in Maths / English or both Working with Year 11 GCSE pupils 1 hour – 2 hours per day after school Monday – Friday (term time only) November 2021 – May 2022 Pay rate 25 – 30 per hour You will be delivering core subject lessons to bridge the gap in their learning and support the pupils’ emotional needs Most of the pupils will have SEND needs so we require tutors with experience of working with young people with a range of different needs and abilities If you require any further information about this role, please do get in touch and give us a call.
