THE GIG
// This position contributes to &pizza’s success by being an integral member of our tight-knit f&m and finance team, and will be based at our headquarters in D.C.
// While the role will have a focus on accounts payable and accounts receivable, full-cycle accounting will be involved.
// The position will report to our Controller and work closely with members across the organization.
RESPONSIBILITIES
// Manage the accounts payable and accounts receivable functions.
// Prepare and distribute weekly operational reports to shop leaders.
// Assist with week and period end close processes, including entering journal entries,
performing account reconciliations and investigating discrepancies.
// Code and input invoices, credit card statements, and employee expense reports.
// Process check runs and requests.
// Respond to questions and train shop leaders on accounting procedures.
// Maintain creation & renewal of LLC’s, Federal & State EIN, and business licenses.
// Take on stretch roles and work closely with our tight-knight team.
REQUIREMENTS
// Strong problem solving, documentation, research, and data analysis skills.
// Basic knowledge of accounting principles (accounts payable / accounts receivable)
// Basic knowledge of balance sheet reconciliation
// Ability to communicate effectively both in writing and verbally.
// Ability to work independently and with a team in a fast-paced, high-volume environment that emphasizes timeliness and accuracy.
// Willingness to learn and create new processes for existing tasks.
