J. Vinton Schafer & Sons is currently searching for an experienced, working Construction Foreman in Abingdon, MD. This role will work for our newly developed Small Projects division and will be a hands-on, supervisory role.
Position responsibilities will include:
- Work with the Project Manager in a team approach to determine a construction schedule for assigned projects.
- Perform various tasks as required on a job by job basis
- Coordinate work of subcontractors to ensure timely project completion
- Oversee jobsite crew
- Perform regular Quality Control inspections of work in place
- Maintain Quandel’s 27 Safety Rules at all times with our own team members, as well as subcontractors.
- The Lead Foreman should run his/her jobs in accordance with OSHA standards and communicate all Quandel and OSHA standards to team members.
Experience and Qualifications:
- Minimum of 5 years of multi-faceted craftsman skills
- 1-2 years of previous supervisory experience preferred
