Construction Foreman – Quandel Enterprises, Inc.

J. Vinton Schafer & Sons, a division of Quandel of Enterprises, offers complete project services from planning and estimating to construction supervision.

J. Vinton Schafer & Sons is currently searching for an experienced, working Construction Foreman in Abingdon, MD
. This role will work for our newly developed Small Projects division and will be a hands-on, supervisory role.

Position responsibilities will include:

  • Work with the Project Manager in a team approach to determine a construction schedule for assigned projects.
  • Perform various tasks as required on a job by job basis
  • Coordinate work of subcontractors to ensure timely project completion
  • Oversee jobsite crew
  • Perform regular Quality Control inspections of work in place
  • Maintain Quandel’s 27 Safety Rules at all times with our own team members, as well as subcontractors.
  • The Lead Foreman should run his/her jobs in accordance with OSHA standards and communicate all Quandel and OSHA standards to team members.

Experience and Qualifications:

  • Minimum of 5 years of multi-faceted craftsman skills
  • 1-2 years of previous supervisory experience preferred
