WHAT YOU’LL DO:
There will be the opportunity to surgically manage elective and traumatic conditions. Developing services within the department including audit, research and teaching are an expected part of this role.
The appointee will contribute to the on call rota and to the trauma ward consultant rota, allowing the care group to deliver the high quality responsive service that we aspire to. The appointee will contribute to the development of a modern, responsive outpatient service, using virtual/telephone consultations where appropriate.
WHAT WE’RE LOOKING FOR
These post-holders will deliver continuous service improvement to their clinical subspecialties, ensuring that UHS is at the forefront of clinical techniques and service delivery modalities. They will be important for the continued improved educational opportunities in this department, including at registrar and at foundation year levels.
Post – T&O consultant with specialist interest in upper limb and complex elbow surgery and trauma reconstruction
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION
Individuals wishing to apply must be fully registered with the General Medical Council (GMC) and should be either already on or within 6 months of eligibility to be included on the specialist register of the GMC.
The successful candidate will be employed under the terms and conditions of service for Consultants (England) 2003.
