Transit Link-Linking People to Transportation

WHAT IS Transit Link: Anyone who lives in Shakopee can call to schedule a ride. Keep in mind the buses are not a taxi service but rather a reservation-based bus service available for anyone who may not have access to a vehicle or a reliable ride to his or her destination.

Generally, reservations are booked two to seven days in advance and the service includes door-to-door pickup and drop off.

We need bus drivers! Our Buses are new and easy to drive.

Description:

We need people who like to work with people. Our clients are great and our drivers feel that this is a rewarding job.

This position is a fulltime shift works 10 hours per day 1 hour lunch break. This shift usually works 4 days per week. Overtime is also available. We are hiring for multiple positions for full-:time and par-time.

Responsibilities:

• Arrive on time for your shift
• Conduct a Pre-Trip Vehicle Inspection
• Follow scheduled trips and document trip information
• Collect Fares
• Follow DOT Standards and regulations
• Maintain a secure environment for passengers, including escorting riders from the curb of the pick-up or drop-off point to and from the vehicle and providing physical assistance to passengers, when requested
• Exercising patience and sensitivity toward all passengers and practices professionalism in action and in speech to family members, staff at offices and agencies and the general public

Requirements:

• Valid Class D drivers license
• Safe driving history – a couple of infractions are acceptable.
• Interest in working with people
• High school degree or equivalent
• Willing to provide employment recommendations
