Ref #: 9871 How you’ll help us Keep Climbing (overview & key responsibilities) This position is the subject matter expert in all of the Blended Core systems with a technical knowledge and understanding of major assembly component configuration records and guides others to ensure compliance. Responsible for the maintenance and development of structures, both assembly and projects, for Delta and customer assemblies (ENGINE/APU/LANDING GEAR/Thrust Reversers) which are used by Delta TechOps personnel to help maintain configuration, schedule needed work, accurately record maintenance performed. Position includes review of engine existing and incoming manufacturers service bulletins, ADs, and SCEPTRE AAs to determine the best method for recording and reporting compliance. Position requires strong working knowledge of Major assemblies and their structure. Position requires routine coordination with vendors, engineering, planning, maintenance and supplier ops personnel in the accomplishment of these tasks. Position also involves direct support of maintenance to facilitate and resolve discrepancies both on-wing and off-wing while practicing safety/compliance conscious behaviors in all operational processes and procedures. Be able to support 24/7 operation which means at times helping maintenance with issues outside of normal office hours and on weekends. The Specialist works with a diverse team of Senior Coordinators and Senior Analysts performing the duties related to EIS of both factory new and previously operated (used) aircraft as well as maintaining the fleet perfect relationships.

Responsibilities:
Utilizing metric results from values such as input, work in progress, turn-around-time and throughput achieving optimum team performance.
Helps identify bottlenecks impeding the process flow and recommends improvements or changes to remedy those issues.
Adheres to work assignments, assists in problem-solving and decision-making as required to provide customer support relating to the tactical and strategic execution of initiatives and objectives.
Must be willing to work towards established long- and short-term goals for the team.
Assists in monitoring the morale and welfare of the team and recommends recognition and discipline as warranted.
The Specialist works closely with Fleet Projects, Regulatory Compliance, Hangar Demand Planning, Supplier Ops and Engine Demand Planning to maintain delivery schedules and major assembly bridging coordination.
Coordinates with the assigned fleet project manager and Supplier Ops to assure required documentation is available prior to the actual aircraft or assembly delivery.
Works with Hangar Demand planning to insure all prior to revenue service engineering projects and maintenance programs forecasts are scheduled.
Works with MIRS analysts to create and load new aircraft or simulator tail numbers in MIRS and SCEPTRE.
Provides Information Technology (IT) system analysts with required documentation to create new generically serialized aircraft tail numbers and new to Delta assemblies to meet the prior to revenue service planning timetable.
Assists with bridging of factory new and previously operated (used) aircraft (Delta and MRO customer aircraft) and assemblies into the SCEPTRE environment.
Evaluates delivery documentation to identify Full Time Tracking Number (FTN) parts.
Assists in the creation of bridging maps to accurately place serialized/FTN tracked in their correct positions on-wing.
Uses automation processes to serialize life limited parts, hard time and on-condition rotables.
Reports new-to-Delta FTN related parts for assimilation into the blended
core (SAP/SCE/MIRS). Works closely with the Central Data Management Group (CDMG) to ensure new parts are created in a timely manner.
Evaluates engineering projects for applicability to factory new aircraft, and assemblies.
Serialize and establish tracking of project forecasts affecting the aircraft and assemblies.
Serialize and establish tracking of Delta maintenance programs forecasts.
Works to ensure the required FAA documentation is completed on time for delivery of the new aircraft to revenue service.
Evaluates MISSING/EXTRA IMT issues within prescribed parameters to maintain aircraft/assembly configuration control by researching SCE rotable and/or forecast relationships to identify root cause of the discrepancy.
Applies corrective actions to clear the discrepancy.
Suggests long-term corrective actions to prevent recurrence issues as they relate to Human Factor and process discrepancies.
Provides aid and guidance relating to SCEPTRE tracking of FTN parts to OPS Support and EPM in evaluation and clearing parts related discrepancies.
Evaluates and recommends improvements to TOPP and SOP documents.
Performs IT system testing to validate process changes or enhancements. Recommends system / process improvements /opportunities as they arise.
What you need to succeed (minimum qualifications)

Bachelors degree in a computer, technical or aviation related field preferred, or equivalent experience in the aviation maintenance environment, aircraft components tracking or maintenance forecasting, maintenance programs, or equivalent training and/or operations experience.
Must have a high level of competency performing complex activities in SCEPTRE.
Must have strong interpretation skills as they apply to analyzing, understanding and applying forecasting requirements from AA projects.
Experience updating SCEPTRE or equivalent programs required.
Ability to analyze and resolve technical and IT system issues.
A strong understanding of the importance to deliver the highest level of customer service.
Must perform well under pressure with strong organizational skills.
Strong understanding of SOPs and TOPPs that govern CSM.
Able to handle stress and perform in a fast pace and high-volume environment.
Highly effective oral and written communication skills are required in order to interact with many levels of internal and external customers.
Highly motivated, flexible, with an intense attention to detail What will give you a competitive edge (preferred qualifications)
Current airframe and power plant (A&P) license preferred.
A strong working knowledge of aircraft structure, components, assemblies and associated configurations desired.
An extensive background working within the Blended Core Solution for component tracking and/or other similar record tracking systems a plus.
An understanding of materiel logistics and inventory tracking preferred.
Thorough knowledge and understanding of OEM source documents including major assembly, component and aircraft repair manuals, Illustrated Parts Catalog (IPC)/Illustrated Parts List (IPL), and manufacturer standard practice manuals and FAA technical record policies preferred.
A strong working knowledge and understanding of SAP & MIRS a plus. < Go back
