This is an energetic team with a startup atmosphere, where anything is possible. It is a KPI & experiment driven, agile & adaptive, high performance team. A key part of your role will be to drive global improvements to multimedia features’ quality and to improve our measurement and metrics infrastructure and our tooling portfolio to ensure we’re always able to track our progress effectively, we can produce the best quality training data for our ML algorithms for image and video search, and we can debug any issues quickly and comprehensively. In addition, the candidate will get the opportunity to work on key new experiences that leverage the latest deep learning techniques, constant experimentation, and development of new metrics to improve and measure quality and impact user behavior.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate with MM team and Bing-wide universalization v-team to ensure MM features always target global improvements and are highly competitive for users around the world
• Work closely with Development teams to deliver a highly reliable and usable measurement infrastructure for MM team
• Build KPIs and metrics to measure success of the team and reliability of our measurement infrastructure
• Analyze tools portfolio for MM team and improve on it to meet tooling needs
• Build partnerships with Bing-wide measurement & tooling teams to ensure MM team is always using the latest and greatest measurement technologies
• Research and design new measurement techniques and metrics.
• Communicate and collaborate with all MM teams to ensure measurement and tooling infrastructure meets the teams’ needs
• Drive projects to completion in a timely manner.
• Prioritize requirements and do multi release planning.
• Become the MM team’s POC for the Bing-wide human labeling platform to drive collaboration to improve the platform for MM scenarios
• Ideal candidate should be able to work on the entire Search Stack including User Experience, Ranking, and Measurement.
• Do User Studies, propose experiments and write specifications for features that need to be productized.
• Define & improve key new scenarios at the forefront of image search and recommendation.

Qualifications

Required Qualifications:

• A Bachelor or Master degree in Computer Science or a related discipline.
• 3+ years’ experience of software product cycle, either functioning as a program manager to drive features from initial planning, design, to implementation and release, or working as a software developer
• 1+ years of cross group collaboration experience
• 1+ years of experience with A/B testing, experimentation and data analysis
• Understanding of Large Scale Distributed Data Systems, Big Data, Machine/Deep Learning, Natural Language Processing and Data Mining
• Ability to quickly adapt to new technology and go deep in new focus areas.
• Excellent oral and written communication skills with the ability to collaborate effectively with a large number of partners and customers and translate requirements into a product vision and roadmap
• Excellent Analytical Skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Search industry experience is preferred
• Experience in measurement and tools development a plus
