This position will require the following key work areas to be performed:
- Reviews the project plan along with the Project Manager and other key team members. This includes how the project is planned, project challenges, potential cost savings opportunities, and probable execution strategies. This requires that the Superintendent does a thorough analysis of the project plans, specifications, and bids with estimating.
- Works with the Project Manager in a team approach to determine a construction schedule for assigned projects. Open communication and input among the team are essential for our projects’ success.
- Maintains accurate daily and weekly scheduling of equipment and subcontractors. The schedules should be clearly communicated through postings in the field office, email, phone calls and text messages so all parties are aware of the current and upcoming schedule requirements.
- Performs regular Quality Control inspections of work in place.
- Maintains Quandel’s 27 Safety Rules at all times with our own team members as well as subcontractors. The Superintendent should run his/her jobs in accordance with OSHA standards and communicates all Quandel and OSHA standards to team members.
- Ensures accurate daily reports are logged in our project management system.
A qualified candidate must have the following education and experience:
- Minimum of 3 years of healthcare, higher education, or K-12 construction experience with at least 2 years as a Project Superintendent required
- Familiarity with Microsoft Office Suite including Word, Excel, Outlook and PowerPoint.
- Experience using an ERP or a project management system like Viewpoint or Smartbid, Adobe Docs, AIA, BlueBeam, and document sharing programs like Box.com, Dropbox or Google Drive.
