The Receptionist will support the Baltimore offices of the Washington/Baltimore High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area (HIDTA) and will perform skilled clerical work and provide general administrative support to W/B HIDTA Executive Staff. The individual will be responsible for assisting with facilitating communication among various Law Enforcement agencies and initiatives, various Public Health Agencies associated with both HIDTA and ODMAP Project.

Key Responsibilities:
- Receptionist: Greet and welcome guests as soon as they arrive at the office. Direct visitors to the appropriate person and office. Answer, screen and forward incoming phone calls. Ensure reception area is tidy and presentable, with all necessary stationery and material (e.g. pens, forms and brochures). Provide basic and accurate information in-person and via phone/email. Receive, sort and distribute daily mail/deliveries. Maintain office security by following safety procedures and controlling access via the reception desk (monitor logbook, issue visitor badges).
- Administrative/Operational Support: Act as administrative support for the W/B HIDTA Executive Staff as needed, to include maintaining calendars, scheduling meetings, take meeting notes and prepare minuets, order front office supplies and keep inventory of stock. Perform other clerical receptionist duties such as filing, photocopying, transcribing and faxing. Other administrative duties as assigned.
Education: High School Diploma or GED is required.
Experience: Two years of experience providing administrative support is required. Additional related experience and formal education in which one has gained the knowledge, skills, and abilities required for full performance of the work of the job class may be substituted for the education or experience requirement on a year-for-year basis with 30 college credits being equivalent to one year of experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
- Working knowledge of policies and procedures for HIDTA and Law Enforcement agencies.
- Be computer literate, have good written and oral communication skills.
- Proficient organization skills and the ability to handle time sensitive assignments
- Proficient in Microsoft software to include Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Have ability to multi-task and work in a fast paced environment
