Second Avenue is recruiting a talented individual with a strong background in finance and accounting with proven knowledge and experience in real estate investment management.
Duties and Responsibilities
- Prepare pro forma cash flow projections for potential investment opportunities
- Monitor and prepare financial reporting for existing portfolio investments
- Organize investment summaries for internal and client correspondence
- Work closely with and assist members of the acquisitions, property management and accounting teams as well as third party contacts during the underwriting, due diligence and operations process
- Analyze and help to synthesize big data into value-added business intelligence
Qualifications
- Undergraduate degree with 5+ years of relevant experience or MBA with concentrations in Finance/Accounting/Real Estate and 3+ years of relevant experience
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Excellent understanding of real estate finance, property valuation and equity investment analysis
- Well-organized, detail-oriented with proven experience achieving deadlines
- Thrives in a collaborative team environment
- Ability to prioritize tasks, work on multiple assignments, and manage ambiguity
- Ability to work both independently and as part of a team with professionals at all levels
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Word; Knowledge of R and/or Python a plus
