All That’s Interesting — a Brooklyn-based site that specializes in history, archeology, and true crime — is offering a six-month remote Social Media Manager Internship beginning in April 2024. We’re looking for a detail-oriented digital marketer who will manage our Instagram accounts, expand our paid distribution efforts, and explore new avenues of increasing our audience.
As the Social Media Manager, you will be responsible for:
- Scheduling posts and stories for our two Instagram accounts
- Developing and executing initiatives to expand our audience
- Competitive landscaping and integrating your insights into our approach
- Providing analysis that informs our editorial and social strategy
Qualifications include:
- At least one year of managing a significant Instagram presence
- Familiarity with Canva, Spark, or comparable image editing software for crafting Instagram stories
- Capable of writing engaging and crisp copy that requires minimal editing
- An interest in a wide array of subjects, including history, science, and news
The position requires between 24 and 30 hours a week in a fully remote capacity as well as a six-month commitment. Remuneration is $22.5 an hour and we’re happy to provide necessary documentation if you’d like to obtain academic credit.
