What you’ll do

As the Sr. Growth Global Prospecting Director, you are a highly experienced and strategic-minded leader responsible for leading the development and execution of our Prospecting GTM (Go-To-Market) strategy. You will be responsible for aligning sales and marketing goals with Sales Development (Sales Dev) objectives, driving innovation in prospecting methodologies, identifying and creating sales prospecting plays that drive results, and optimizing conversion rates through insightful data analysis.

In this role you will serve as a trusted advisor to the Global VP of Sales Development and other leaders on Docusign’s Global Prospecting strategy, as well as own and drive in-market execution, operational efficiency and innovation. You will diagnose and implement process improvements including automation, communications, and cross-team collaboration to optimize the overall Prospecting success of the organization. Partnering with FP&A, Strategy, and Analytics teams you will work to align initiative goals and processes, establishing a clear link between strategic goals, execution and return on investment (ROI). You will test and learn new ways of Prospecting inclusive of surfacing and scaling regional best practices globally, in order to foster a thriving culture of delivering results and teamwork.

This position is an individual contributor role reporting to the Vice President, Sales Development.

Responsibility

  • Collaborate with sales and marketing teams to align goals with Sales Development capacity
  • Develop a clear Prospecting GTM strategy and execution plan to enhance prospecting efficiency
  • Act as the primary owner of Prospecting 2.0, work with and across our Executive Leadership team to define goals, align them cross-functionally and build an implementation and execution roadmap working backwards from impact
  • Drive the evolution of prospecting methodologies and strategies to keep the organization ahead of industry trends
  • Develop and improve operational systems and reviews to drive progress on the organization’s Prospecting goals and strategy, and drive the Annual Priority for Prospecting 2.0 that spans the Growth and Field Sales organizations and adjacent teams
  • Partner with Sales Operations to define and communicate business requirements to the Data and Technology Services (DTS) team
  • Ensure seamless communication and collaboration to enhance prospecting capabilities and efficiency
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify and optimize prospecting channels based on specific initiatives
  • Assess the performance of various channels and adjust strategies accordingly
  • Work cross-functionally to surface insights on productivity and effectiveness metrics related to prospecting
  • Monitor and report performance against established goals, providing actionable insights for continuous improvement
  • Partner with the marketing team to develop a connected execution plan for Marketing Qualified Lead (MQL) follow-up
  • Implement a closed-loop feedback mechanism to optimize conversion rates and enhance collaboration between sales and marketing
  • Drive a direct and cross-functional team on prospecting experimentation initiatives, including testing propensity to buy models, new tools, and emerging prospecting channels
  • Drive initiatives to improve in-year growth and organizational productivity, efficiency, and overall conversion rates as well as pipeline revenue
  • Evaluate and refine processes to ensure alignment with company objectives

What you bring

Basic

  • BA or BS degree in a business/quantitative field
  • 15+ years of experience in Sales Development, Global Prospecting, or GTM Strategy and Operations roles
  • Experience leading functional and cross-functional projects and teams and proven effectiveness as a matrix leader
  • Experience working with product and B2B sales teams at all levels
  • Experience with multi-product sales processes in a SaaS environment
  • Proven track-record in driving cross-functional and global groups
  • Experience building teams, and directly managing individual contributors as well as managers

Preferred

  • Advanced degree
  • Experience in leading Prospecting go to market motions across sales dev, sales, marketing and Partner orgs
  • Superb communication and problem-solving skills

Wage Transparency

Based on applicable legislation, the below details pay ranges in the following locations:

California: $188,200.00 – $302,825.00 base salary

Illinois and Colorado: $178,400.00 – $252,050.00 base salary

Washington and New York (including NYC metro area): $178,400.00 – $265,900.00 base salary
