Summary
The Child Care Center in Norwich is undergoing a transformation! We invite smart, motivated teachers to join us as we adopt a Reggio Emilia-inspired program with an emphasis on children’s innate sense of wonder, the arts, and outdoor education. We are hiring full-time teachers to work with toddlers (age 2) and with preschoolers (age 3-5). Come join our team during an exciting time of renewal!
Duties
Join a teacher team to lead a classroom of toddlers or preschoolers. Lead children on explorations on our beautiful wooded property, engage with science educators from our next-door neighbor the Montshire Museum of Science, collaborate with our atelierista (art teacher) who oversees our new art studio, facilitate an “emergent curriculum,” one propelled by students’ curiosity and interests, while embedding early literacy and numeracy into your wondrous explorations with children.
Requirements
Prior teaching experience preferred (not required) in the Reggio Emilia approach, along with creativity, a team spirit and strong work ethic.
