We are currently seeking a Warehouse Team Member at our LaVista location. They would work Monday to Friday, during normal business hours (8am -5pm). This team member will be working all functions of the warehouse: receiving, check-in, put away, picking, packing and shipping. Occasionally might be required to make deliveries to customers in the local area.
Essential Functions:
- Examine contents and compare with records such as purchase orders, orders, packing lists, manifests, or invoices, to verify accuracy of incoming or outgoing shipment.
- Prepare documents, such as bills of lading and shipping labels to route materials.
- Record shipment data, such as weight, charges, space availability, and damages and discrepancies, for reporting, accounting, and recordkeeping purposes.
- Determine shipping method for materials, using knowledge of shipping procedures, routes, and rates.
- Deliver or route materials to departments, using work devices, such as hand truck, conveyor, or sorting bins.
- Pack, seal, label, and affix postage to prepare materials for shipping, using work devices such as hand tools and UPS or FedEx computer systems.
- Confer and correspond with establishment representatives to rectify problems, such as damages, shortages, and nonconformance to specifications.
- Requisition and store shipping materials and supplies to maintain inventory of stock.
- Contact carrier representative to make arrangements and to issue instructions for shipping and delivery of materials.
- Compute amounts, such as space available, and shipping, storage, and demurrage charges, using calculator or price list.
- Unpack received shipments and organize – transferring stock items to correct shelves.
- Accurately pick and pack customer orders within 24 hours of the printed packing list.
- Perform routine cycle counts to ensure inventory is correct. Address and correct incorrect inventory counts.
- Repackage specified materials into approved containers while observing all OSHA safety regulations.
- Deliver “our carry” deliveries to customers and get a signature from the customer for proof of delivery.

Education & Experience:
Education: High school graduate or General Education Degree (GED)
Experience: 1-3 years experience is preferred
Computer Skills: Must adapt easily to new systems.
