The JavaScript/TypeScript Engineer will report to the Scala/JavaScript Department Lead and will take an integral part in building a cross-platform web application used by hundreds of thousands of users world-wide on iOS, Android, and desktop platforms. Evolution technology stack is modern and based on TypeScript, React, Babylon.js, and Webpack.

Main Responsibilities:

• Design, develop, debug and support code responsible for implementing and testing new and existing games and related platform functionality.
• Be responsible for product performance, including load on network, memory, and processing units.
• Create and maintain system and unit documentation.
• Deliver code of the highest quality following best practices in software development, attention to detail, test coverage and system testing on a timely basis.
• Follow and improve the coding guidelines set in the company.
• Translate business requirements into technical and functional designs.
• Work closely as part of the Development Team to deliver winning products.
• Replace colleagues during their vacations, sick leaves, and other absences.
• Perform and participate in code reviews and submit code to code reviews, address code review comments with appropriate diligence.
• Diagnose and resolve systems problems with care and diligence.
• Perform other development tasks or other duties, as requested by the manager.

• Passion for this profession, in particular front-end development, and improving yourself technically.
• A minimum of 5 years of experience in the IT industry as server-side developer in low latency, high-load distributed projects.
• Proven experience in delivering production software using JavaScript or Typescript.
• Highly proficient in spoken and written English.
• Bachelor’s Degree in IT, Computer Science, or equivalent; long-term work experience in the Information Technology sector.
• Solid knowledge and minimum of 4 years’ experience with HTML/CSS/JavaScript (HTML5 and CSS3).
• Excellent communication skills and a pragmatic approach to problem solving.
• Solid knowledge of TypeScript and ES Next.
• Experience in other strongly typed programming languages.
• Interest in contemporary programming trends such as functional and reactive programming, CSS prepro cessing, alternative JavaScript languages, web components, touch user experiences, and responsive de sign.
• Experience with React, Redux, Lodash, RxJS, Babylon.js.
• Knowledge of modular CSS by using CSS-modules and post-CSS.
• Experience with testing and specifications libraries like Jest, Enzyme, Puppeteer/Playwright, WebDriverIO, Cucumber, Mocha.
• Knowledge of JavaScript ecosystem tools, such as webpack, npm, yarn.
• Passion towards performance profiling and optimization, using GPU acceleration and maintaining 240 FPS for visually rich applications.
• Proven experience of applying Java and Java ecosystem libraries such as Spring in daily work or compara ble open-source contributions.
• Knowledge of JVM fundamentals.
• Experience working with Relational Databases.
• Experience working with communication protocols such as HTTP and Web Sockets.
• Knowledge of relevant CI/CD, compiler and build tools and pipelines.
• Knowledge and experience of using version control systems such as Git.
• Ability to work in a fast-moving, high pressure environment while maintaining accuracy and attention to detail.
• Ability to be able to work on features independently as well as being a part of a distributed or collocated Agile team.
