Litigation Case Oversight and Administration Team – Triage Analyst

The Litigation Case Oversight and Administration Team is responsible for the initial assessment, case intake, and data monitoring and management processes for litigation managed by the JPMorgan Chase Legal Department. Candidates should be able to review legal and non-legal documents to discern issues, apply specific policy and procedural criteria, interact with legal and non-legal staff, create reports and perform data analysis, and coordinate with other legal colleagues in a professional, fast paced environment. The Case Oversight and Administration – Triage Analyst will be required to make decisions based on their knowledge of legal concepts as well their understanding of particular business units and functions.

Duties and Responsibilities:

  • Review of legal documents, filings and pleadings to determine if they should be handled by the Litigation department or directed to another area of Legal or a business unit within the Firm.
  • Research of systems to identify customers, accounts and areas of the Firm involved in Litigation.
  • Researching electronic systems to identify relevant employees, employee-related documents and areas of the Bank involved in Litigation.
  • Responding to inquiries from various areas of the Bank or its outside counsel regarding new and ongoing litigation needs such as identification of relevant documents and witnesses.
  • Updating electronic case files with case opening documents and information, and any trailing documents served on the Firm.
  • Recognition of urgent matters, and timely escalation where appropriate.

Requirements

  • Minimum 2 years of relevant experience. Legal experience is preferred.
  • A degree in sworn/certified translation will be highly valuable.
  • Fluent in English
  • Strong English oral and written communication skills
  • Working knowledge of banking and finance is a plus .
  • Familiarity with US law and regulations regarding the financial industry preferred.
  • Analytical, organizational, research, presentation, time management, and project management skills.
  • Excellent attention to detail.
  • Ability to effectively manage multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously.
  • All candidates for roles in the Legal department must successfully complete a conflicts of interest clearance review prior to commencement of employment.
