IT Product SME – AandR – Shell – Bengaluru, Karnataka

• As IT Advisor regularly encounters difficult or challenging situations within assignments, requiring innovative solutions.
• Supports the ITM in contributing to business decisions through strong relationships, business and IT understanding and external market perspectives. Utilises the existing landscape and identifies opportunities to grow and transform the business through the deployment of processes, data and technology solutions.
• Works with business and IT to shape opportunities and align solutions with business strategies. Supports the ITM to capture and maintain the IT strategic response in the IT Strategic Plan.
• Accountable for identifying and delivering bottom line value to a medium-large sized and/or less complex business or large country through both the implementation of innovative new IT solutions and harvesting of existing IT assets to enable the achievement of the business strategy, value drivers and KPIs.
• Drives a One Team mindset; works closely with business stakeholders mainly at the EC-2 / EC-3 level to understand and influence how IT and the business can align strategic success goals, challenging the business to deliver value for IT dollars invested. Leads the natural team in IT and aligns internal and external IT partners to ensure all are operating with a collective commercial mindset and driving measurable value. Maintains and extends networks within, across and external to organizational boundaries.
• Delivers thought leadership and contributes to business decisions through strong relationships, business and IT understanding and external market perspectives.
• Shapes the business and IT strategy to ensure a contribution to the business top and bottom line through operational improvements, exploiting the existing IT landscape and identifying opportunities to grow and transform the business through the deployment of processes, data and technology solutions.
• Works independently under minimal managerial supervision. Diagnoses and solves significant, complex and non-routine problems; translates practices from elsewhere (other markets, countries and industry) and provides authoritative, technical recommendations which have a significant impact on business performance in short and medium term. Typically reports to ITM.
