Arcadis is growing!  Our New Lexington, Ohio office is hiring for a Construction Technician position!   This role sits within the  Global Resilience Business Area.

The rate at which we’re seeing large-scale, unforeseen events such as floods and wildfires, is becoming more frequent. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing daily construction observation services on behalf of our client.  This is an as-needed position expected to start mid April 2024 for approximately 12 months and will require time spent at project sites in southern Ohio. 

Role Responsibilities:

As a Construction Technician, your role accountabilities will include:

• Being responsible for daily oversight of the contractor.
• Recording daily log of progress made by contractor.
• Taking photos and track feet of pipe, etc. in order to confirm pay requests.
• Reading sets of construction drawings and documenting daily progress on a construction site. 
• Communicating and coordinating with the Project Administrator.
• Documenting any problems and communicating them to our Construction Administrator.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Experience with construction observation and oversight
• Ability to read construction plans
• Knowledgeable of construction process and progress
• Reliable vehicle and valid driver’s license
