Client Service Representative: NOW: JG: 5 / 6 – Sanlam

The Sanlam Retail Affluent cluster is responsible for Sanlam’s retail business in South Africa. SRA provides clients across different market segments (entry-level, middle-income, affluent, professional market and business owners) with a comprehensive range of appropriate and competitive financial solutions. These include traditional life insurance risk and savings products, investment, retirement, health and fiduciary services. Our products are designed to facilitate long-term wealth creation, protection and niche financing and therefore these solutions are engineered around client needs.

Output/Core Tasks:
Processing transactions accurately and efficiently to ensure client satisfaction.

Resolving and/or referring complaints to the relevant person/department – both from Pathologists, Nurses and Doctors on Wheels service providers and sales offices.

Follow up on requests forwarded to service providers ensuring that appointments are made and kept.

Update client information on a regular basis.

Keeping records updated daily with the feedback received from service providers.

Linking of medical and other documentation to new business applications.

Paying of medical examinations/accounts

Reconciliation of medical expense accounts (electronic & manual)

Processing of documentation and letters

Flexibility to be trained in other areas of the business.

Adhoc tasks Requirements:
Overtime hours will be expected as required by the business volumes.

Qualifications:
Grade 12 with Mathematics and or Accounting as subject.

Post matric qualification will be beneficial

Experience & Knowledge:
At least 1 – 2 years’ relevant experience in a Life Insurance company, especially the New Business division.

Minimum of 2 years’ experience in complaints handling.

Experience of reconciliation of accounts as well as payment of service providers.

Proven knowledge and proficiency in:
Excel & Word

Telephony skills & Microsoft Outlook would be an advantage

Experience in a Target and Production driven environment. Competencies:
