Inbound Controller | Eastport – Media24

Media24, part of the Naspers Group, touches the lives of millions of consumers every day through our online and print media, book publishing, online services and eCommerce platforms. We are looking for the Inbound Controller for the Contract Logistics division to be based in our Eastport site.

This individual will be responsible for managing the Woolworths account

Key responsibilities:
(The primary tasks, functions and deliverables of the role)

• Ensure correct receiving of parcels, including weighing of parcels, and receiving of parcels as per standard operating procedures; and service level agreements;
• Check short shipment report and provide feedback to all key stakeholders and DC Assistant;
• Feed service provider with stock to receive.
• Handover the credited returns to service provider to receive into stock
• Receive and check the returned items at the receiving bay
• Check and ensure that the returned items matches the documents attached.
• Process/credit the returns on visibility as per Return SOP, send progress report to all stakeholders
• Ensure that credited returns are handed over to OSP and completed within a shift. All processed returns must be completed by the end of the shift, no returns under status 30 and 35
• Acknowledge deliveries according to SOP.
• Perform reconciliations of stock take;
• Comply with all health and safety regulations and practices;
• Identify, analyse and report on opportunities for growth, improved efficiencies and achievements;
• Ensure effective Customer Relations Management, making changes where appropriate to continually improve customer service, and addressing any escalated or long-standing problems;
• Maintain accurate records of local deliveries;
• Count returns accurately;
• Record returns received on return advice document; and on relevant systems;
• Perform neat stacking and bundling of returns in store;
• Assist the team with any other work-related tasks as and when required; and
• Responsible for “dumping” returns in Mondi bin or loading on truck for Johannesburg

Requirements

• Grade 12 or equivalent.
• Proficient in relevant software packages and applications.
• Physically fit and able to work in an extreme environment and pick up heavy loads.
• Work experience would be advantageous within FMCG and or Warehousing; Forklifting license (Advantageous).
