Role and Responsibilities

We are the German subsidiary of the world’s leading supplier of simulation and training systems for pilots and flight crews. With utmost precision, we design, produce and maintain state-of-the-art training systems for flight and land simulation as well as networked simulation applications.

For our site in Geilenkirchen (close to Aachen) we are looking for a

Mission Simulator Operator (f/m/d)

As Mission Simulator Operator (MSO) you are mainly responsible to operate the Mission Simulator and associated devices, execute simulator scenarios and support Mission Crew Training within the respective scope of work.

Your task:

  • Operate the Mission Simulators (MSN SIM) and associated training devices
  • Execute MSN SIM scenarios and support MSN SIM training as required
  • Support Distributed MSN SIM Training Perform assigned MSO tasks/ positions as required
  • Support in planning, guiding and execution of simulated training events
  • Provide post execution feedback to Mission Crew
  • Assist in scheduling activities if and as required

Additional support in:

  • maintaining and update all required technical/tactical publications and data provided by NATO
  • simulation scenario development
  • updating and/ or creating relevant documentation
  • provide on-the-job training for new MSOs
  • further development of the training program
  • demonstration during visits
  • assist/ test simulator upgrades during associated events

Responsible for:

  • logging Training events
  • Assessing New MSO performance using MSO debriefing sheet
  • Provision of general statistics to support the installed Quality Management system
  • Assuring personal qualifications and requirements are kept up to date

Knowledge, Skills and Experience:

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Experience in C2 – Command & Control (i.e.)
    • Air Battle Management
    • Air Surveillance
    • CRC, E3 or equivalent AEW&C Platform
    • NATO Procedures (i.e. Maritime, DCA & OCA Procedures)
    • Data Link (i.e. Link-11, 16)
    • Working knowledge as: Weapons Controller, Surveillance Controller or Operator, JTAC, 4th Generation Fighter Pilot, other Air/Surface/ Ground equivalent position
  • Experience in Training with students in a military environment
  • Experience in modern modeling and simulation technologies
  • Problem solving and organisational skills
  • Teamplayer

Desired Qualifications:

  • English according NATO Standard 3333
  • Comply with the requirements of NATO secret security clearance
  • Comply with the requirements of INFOSEC
  • Weapons controller Qualification
