About Us:

As a Product Designer, you’ll be an integral part of our scrum team, contributing to the entire product development process from concept to implementation. You’ll collaborate cross-functionally with engineers and other partners to ensure the highest quality user experience.

Tasks

• Engage in the end-to-end product development process, from ideation to polished UI design.
• Foster a positive and collaborative team culture by promoting a user-centered design approach, sharing knowledge, and embracing ownership and growth.
• Take ownership of your designs, encompassing everything from user personas and flows to mockups, prototypes, and pixel-perfect assets.
• Continuously strive to understand our users better. Collaborate with product and marketing teams to conduct user research, usability testing, and gather feedback to inform design decisions.
• Contribute to the development and advancement of our design system best practices.
• Collaborate closely with our Product Manager and Software Engineers to ensure design vision is realized in the final product.
• Balance business objectives with user needs, identifying opportunities to enhance business outcomes through your design thinking process.

A glimpse into the first 6 months:

First month

• Understand Foundance’s vision and our unique value proposition to our users.
• Get to know the team and our processes; be part of our Scrum ceremonies.
• Understand the current status of the product and the existing knowledge regarding the users.
• Understand gaps in user knowledge and start research to cover those gaps.
• Help us finalize the user personas and their jobs-to-be-done
• Analyze the current design system.
• Analyze the current solution and start a usability audit; Deliver the results to the executive team and explain the findings.

First 3 months

• Propose improvements for our product design process.
• Get the design system in a complete state.
• Understand the product strategy and priorities
• Perform discovery work, when needed
• Work with the Product Manager in designing solutions for upcoming functionalities: user flows, wireframes, prototypes and final designs.
• Propose improvements to existing functionalities.

First 6 months

• You have a deep understanding of Foundance, our vision and objectives for the upcoming months.
• You have a strong and good collaboration with the team members.
• You are comfortable with owning the design process, the deliverables, running research and user testing.

Requirements

• 3+ years of Product Design experience as a full-stack designer.
• Demonstrated experience designing for both mobile and web-based products.
• Profound grasp of user-centered design principles, interaction design, and information architecture.
• Enthusiastic about participating in user testing and research, with the ability to synthesize insights and comprehend user requirements.
• A conscientious advocate for inclusive design and accessibility.
• Exceptional attention to detail and adeptness at harmonizing user needs, business demands, and technical limitations.
• Self-driven and autonomous, capable of propelling work forward while meeting critical project deadlines.
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills, including the ability to effectively present and communicate design concepts and decisions. Fluency in English is mandatory.
• Experience collaborating with cross-functional teams, including product managers, developers, and fellow designers.
• Proficiency in relevant creative tools such as Sketch, Adobe XD, and Figma. Although we primarily utilize Figma for design work, flexibility is valued.
• Comfortable working in a dynamic startup environment.
• Willingness to provide mentorship to junior team members.
