Student assistant für cell biology (m/f/d)

Part-time position (approx. 30 monthly hours), Starting date: At the earliest possible date

Our research focuses on the identification of key factors that can trigger essential signaling cascades within the regenerating bone tissue to advance bone augmentation and regeneration strategies. To reach this goal, we are using conventional monolayer (2D) and three-dimensional (3D) cell culture techniques for the cultivation of primary human bone cells to study how cell behavior is modulated by the molecular and biomechanical microenvironment, and the biomaterials‘ physicochemical surface properties.

Your benefits:

• you will be trained in cell culture techniques and molecular biology methods such as 3D cell culture and digital droplet PCR

Your tasks:

• isolation and expansion of primary human bone cells
• 3D cell culture in micro-bioreactors
• biochemical methods (protein and gene expression analysis)
• lab organisation

Your knowledge:

• basic cell culture techniques
• biochemical and molecular biological techniques (working with proteins and RNA)
• immunostaining, fluorescence microscopy
• transfection (helpful)
