Maintenance Engineer

Responsibilities:

• Coordination of the maintenance team (~35 people, spread over 3 working shifts), which implies 1) the supervising and overseeing of the 8h00-16h30 shift and 2) the organization of 16h30-01h00 and 01h00-08h00 shifts together with the shifts’ maintenance coordinators.

• Development of maintenance plans (repairs, corrective and preventive maintenance).

• Definition of the maintenance budget and follow-up of the budget execution.

• Overseeing of the day-to-day maintenance performance and coordination of the necessary activities to drive quality and consistency, and improve the maintenance KPIs.

• Implementation and achievement of sustained improvements in maintenance, through the development of policies and application of problem solving methodologies.

• Development and
  implement standardized work practices and efficiency tools.

• Improve the overall effectiveness of the work group by improving their capability, accountability and applied effort.

• Create and develop a sustainable recruitment strategy.

• Lead, inspire and motivate the maintenance team.

Candidate Profile

• Higher education in relevant areas: Electrical/ Electromechanical/ Mechanical/ Automation Engineering.

• Strong maintenance background, experience working in automotive sector is highly advantageous, although not essential.

• Deep commitment to safety and the environment.

• Highly developed team leadership and communication skills with experience in implementing and leading change initiatives.

• Proven experience at driving continual improvement activities.

• Analytic and problem-solving skills.

• Initiative and self-motivation to excel in working with minimal supervision.

• Fluency in English and Portuguese.
