Equipment Processing Team Leader

About the role

In this interesting role, you will be responsible for overall productivity of a section of the Equipment Processing Department. You will coordinate resources and ensure productivity by leading a team of junior team members and contract employees. You will be responsible for the receiving, processing and preparation of Qatar Airways, Foreign Airlines, VIP flight, Crew Trainings etc. You will also generate considerable amount of documentation such as Shift Report, Check Sheets, Breakage Record, Accident / Incident Report etc. You will identify offload discrepancy and conduct arrival inventory as required by the department.

Allocate staff, into smaller teams for various equipment processing tasks and to provide work plan and instructions for them.To achieve success in this role you will need to:

• Allocate staff, into smaller teams for various equipment processing tasks and to provide work plan and instructions for them.
• Disseminate information to the team and forward information to the up line in a timely manner.
• Analyse the equipment stock availability and suggest the quantity to request from stores.
• Verify the arrival inventory of Other Airlines and withdraw sufficient stock from backup store.
• Ensure that arrivals are offloaded safely and quickly to release trucks back to the Service Delivery.
• Juggle from one priority to another and continuously make critical decisions of ongoing process and balances quality of washing against the productivity.
• Monitor team’s performance on the work floor, to make sure that the team stays on schedule and meets their performance.
• Stay close enough to team members to recognize their shortcomings and address them.

Qualifications

About you

You should have at least a High School Qualification with minimum 2 years of job-related experience OR a Bachelor’s Degree with minimum 1 years of job-related experience in a similar role.

In addition, you will have the following job specific skills:

• Basic computer literacy
• English communication skills
• Advance level chemical knowledge and handling training
• Team building and motivational skill of a diverse cultural group
• Ability to train and develop subordinate’s skills. Ability to foster teamwork among team members
• MS office application formal training and certification
• Diploma in logistic or operation management
